Jainism is an ancient religion of India that prescribes a path of non-violence towards all living beings. Its philosophy and practice emphasize the necessity of self-effort to move the soul towards divine consciousness and liberation. Any soul that has conquered its own inner enemies and achieved the state of supreme being is called Jina (Conqueror or Victor). Jainism is also referred to as Shraman (self-reliant) Dharma or the religion of Nirgantha (who does not have attachments and aversions) by ancient texts.

Origin :

Lord Mahaveera’s ardent devotee, Acharya Bhiksu initiated a religious revolution leading to the foundation of ‘Terapanth’ which maintains its identity as a sect of every human being. The ninth spiritual leader of Terapanth, Acharya Tulsi realized that time circumstances are ripe to hand over the leadership of country and society in the hands of youth, because youth power is the big ray of hope where in creations of ideas and competencies are possible. Acharya Tulsi believed in the strength of youth which lead to the formation of AKHIL BHARTIYA TERAPANTH YUVAK PARISHAD(ABTYP) on 17 th September 1964. The seed that was planted by Acharya Sri Tulsi has started reaping fruits and today ABTYP has more than 325 branches all over India. In the tradition of ‘One Guru, One Discipline’ of Terapanth Dharma Sangh, the 11th Acharya, Acharya Shri Mahashraman is known for his effective and proficient leadership. He undertakes his tasks in a warm-hearted and gentle manner. Through his divine thinking and diligent work, he strides on the path of holistic development of Terapanth Sangh.

Terapanth yuvak parishad Delhi is one of the most prestigious branch working under the guidance of ABTYP, with more than 1000 active youth working for the betterment of the society, country and humanity at large.

Objectives :

The Organization runs on three basic objectives of Sewa, Sanskar, and Sangathan(Service, Sacrament and Organisation) thereby attaches itself to the task of social service working in the field related to education, health, environmental issues, spiritual development, philanthropy, religious harmony, personality development, community service, promotion of good literature etc.

Sewa :

Jain saints travel from one place to another for eight months on foot. TYP, Delhi members provide their service to the saints during their travel. Along with the service to the religion, TYP Delhi also works towards social cause by organizing various Blood donation camps, Medical camps, Eye check-up Camps. Recently TYP,Delhi had started Acharya Mahashraman Clinic & Acharya Tulsi diagnostic centre wherein medical & lab facilities are provided to the needy at reasonable cost.

TYP, Delhi gives essential food items to the needy people of the sect at subsidized rates. Providing service at times of natural calamities.

Sanskar :

With a view to enhance spiritual & cultural values, TYP under the guidance of ABTYP is carrying out several activities. Typ Delhi conducts Gyanshalas in 21 different locations of Delhi wherein 800 students learn value based education imparted by 150 teachers, who work relentlessly for the betterment of future generation. TYP, Delhi also conducts Jain Vidya exams under Saman Sanskriti sankaay & B.A., M.A., exams under Jain Vishwa Bharati University, Ladnun.

Sanghathan :

TYP Delhi also emphasizes on the sense of harmony, affection and unity. It also works to build a strong nation by social, cultural & physical development of youth. TYP uses the potential of youth in the right direction of character building thereby influencing development of a better society & nation at large.
